Tallinn Christmas Market

Hot and heating drinks are offered by many sellers on Sun.-Thu. until 22:00 and on Fri. and Sat. until 23:00.
Christmas program On Fridays 17:00 – 19:00
On Saturdays and Sundays 12:00 – 14:00

Traditionally, the Tallinn Christmas Market offers a wide selection of gifts and delicacies, most of which are made in Estonia.
Here you can also have a meal and various refreshments. Selection is large: from well-known Christmas dishes, such as sauerkraut and blood sausages, to fish and duck. Hot and heating drinks are offered by many sellers on Sun.-Thu. until 22:00 and on Fri. and Sat. until 23:00.
Visitors will enjoy the cultural program on Fridays and Saturdays from 17:00 to 19:00 and on Sundays from 12:00 to 14:00.

Jõulujazz – The Christmas Jazz Festival

The Christmas Jazz Festival organises numerous concerts with varied programs at churches, clubs and concert halls.
The artistic director of the festival is Anne Erm.

Tallinn Bach Music Festival

The Tallinn Bach Music Festival is an original and beautiful New Year’s greeting from Tallinn to all its inhabitants and visitors with music by the greatest German composer of all time. Top Estonian musicians and guest performers will perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s timeless organ music, instrumental works and choir pieces as well as large-scale works. The artistic director of the festival is Professor Andres Uibo.

The world premiere of Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Symphony No. 9

One of the pivotal musical events of Estonia’s upcoming centenary. This evening includes the first performance in Tallinn of the Estonian Festival Orchestra, founded by Paavo Järvi, the world premiere of Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Symphony No. 9, the performance of Brahms’ concerto by star violinist Viktoria Mullova. An evening where Estonia takes centre stage in the world of music.

The main venue of this traditional festival is the Old Town of Tallinn. The event held since 1982 is celebrating the beginning of glorious summer.
